Getting started with zrdio
The five-minute path from a new account to your first audited site.
Updated 1 hour ago
zrdio is organised around projects. One project is one website. Everything else hangs off that.
1. Create a project
From the dashboard, choose New project. You will be asked whether you want to build a new site or audit an existing one. The difference only affects which field is required, so pick whichever you care about first; you can do both afterwards.
If the business already has a website, put the address in. It unlocks the scanner immediately.
2. Run a scan first
Even if you plan to rebuild from scratch, scan the existing site before you change anything. It gives you a baseline number to improve on, and it usually surfaces two or three things worth carrying over.
Scans are read-only. Nothing on your site is modified, and no file is installed.
3. Build
The builder asks six questions. The one that matters is what does the business do — a single vague sentence produces generic copy, and three specific ones produce something you would actually publish. Name your services, your area, and your guarantee.
Every build creates a new version. Nothing is ever overwritten, so experimenting is free.
4. Work the issue list
Open the scanner tab and start at the top. Findings are ordered worst-first, and each one tells you the element and the fix rather than just naming a rule.
5. Publish or export
Publish puts the site on a live zrdio URL in one click. Export downloads plain HTML and CSS you can host anywhere.
Then re-scan the live URL to confirm the fixes landed.
